When we focus on our alignment in a mindful way and move slowly through the poses using the breath as our guide we can experience them from the inside out. There is elegance in the small details. Taking time to nurture and nourish ourselves each day allows us to be aware of and appreciate all that our body can do. We practice in an effort to strengthen our muscles and bones and to re-balance our nervous system. This is aging gracefully. Our yoga can be a moving meditation.

I greatly enjoyed my private yoga class with Linda (a gift from my husband). We first talked about what I hoped to accomplish, then Linda evaluated my stance and frame, keeping my concerns in mind. I took up yoga after cartilage surgery on a knee. I went from not being able to walk up and down steps without holding on to a railing to being able to squat, kneel and sit comfortably cross legged. I feel very fortunate to have Linda as a yoga teacher. I have experience with her both in a group setting and with private lessons. She is very knowledgeable and effective in sharing with her teaching. She is patient, kind and generous with her direction while also offering many prompts to help gain awareness in the poses.
